The Sub 10 is a sealed subwoofer design yielding a deep, musical bass. It was designed to be accurate to 28Hz in a small enclosure, which means there is no low-end choke (sub-bass blocker) like most subs. So, while it was designed to play accurately down to 28Hz, it will not play loud explosions or sub-harmonic synthesized bass frequently found in movie sound tracks at ear splitting levels. The sub 10 was designed first as a music sub and performs its best when played with music or movies at moderate levels.

It does, however, reproduce a wide range of frequencies reaching extraordinary sub bass levels tremendously fast. A well-known reviewer uses a Sub10 with his Quads! This woofer will work well in a theater if extremely loud levels aren’t necessary.
