The
Decco and Apple TV is a match made in heaven. Apple TV connects to the Decco and
high quality speakers for the best sound quality in any zone you choose. It also
connects to your television either (HDMI) or component video connections so you
can see and choose the music or video you desire at the time. The music and
video interface is as good as on iTunes.
Audio
is supported via digital optical cable to the Decco for a great audio upgrade.
The device connects to other computers either through an Ethernet connection, or
wirelessly through the standard IEEE 802.11b, g, and n wireless protocols.
In sync
mode, Apple TV works in a similar way to the iPod. It is paired with an iTunes
library on a single computer and can then synchronize with that library, copying
content to its own hard drive. After synching, Apple TV is not required to
remain connected to the network for the device to continue
functioning.
So if
the Apple TV is your choice for digital media transfer throughout your dwelling,
the Decco can make it sound great when it gets there.
Use the Apple TV or Airports “digital” output, into the Decco “digital” input with a Toslink (optical) digital cable (not included).
The reason the Decco makes the Apple TV or Airport sound so good is that the digital signal is routed out of either, into a high-end D/A converter, then through a tube pre amp, then through a high current 50 wpc amplifier. This transforms the sound to that of a high-end CD player.
Add a pair of era Design 4’s (pictured), and you have the ultimate high-end home office system.
The Decco is also equipped with a headphone amplifier, so if you find the need to keep your music to yourself, as soon as you plug in the headphones, the speakers automatically mute.
